About GrowingPerennials.com (Goldfinch Gardens)

Goldfinch Gardens began in 1996 as a “brick and mortar” nursery/garden center which specialized in perennials and most of our stock was produced by divisions

We soon added daylilies and grasses. By 2000, we specialized in ornamental grasses with over 30 varieties and hostas with 20 kinds, adding another 6 or 8 new ones each year.

We had a second location for sales about 20 miles away and continued this while developing an online store “growingperennials.com” . We started up with Ebay and had, by the year 2008 sold to every state including much to Alaska and some to Hawaii. We also sold to France and Canada. Our Ebay rating over these years was 2361 positives and one negative.

When Ebay monopolized the internet auctions and everything had to go through Pay pal, we found Pay pal to be increasingly unresponsive to both sellers and buyers.

We still sell on Ebay some, but are trying to get some competition going by selling on Ubid and Craig’s List. Our best deals are directly through the www.growingperennials.com website here as we can sell without paying for Listing and value added fees which these sites charge.

Our plants are guaranteed – meaning, you can expect them to live and thrive – if not – please let us correct the problems. This is not a lucrative business, and money is not my main goal – running a reputable business is my first goal.
